A 44-year-old business woman, Banke Amosu, was on Monday brought before a Badagry magistrates’ court in Lagos State for defrauding her business partner of 132 bags of garri valued at N1,889,000.
The prosecutor, ASP Clément Okuoimose, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between January 27 and February 6, on Osun-Adura Street, Ibereko, Badagry.

ASP Okuoimose said the defendant obtained 132 bags of garri from one Simiat Abolaji, her business partner, sold it and converted the money to her personal use.
The magistrate, Mr Fadaunsi Adefioye, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to March 3. (NAN)
