A six-tyre Volvo truck and three dead bodies were on Saturday recovered from the Berger bridge at Epe after it fell off the bridge on Friday night.
The truck, fully loaded with sand, fell off the Berger bridge at Epe into the Epe river after its collision with a Dangote truck and could not be retrieved despite concerted efforts of emergency response team in Lagos State.

Although three adult males were recovered by local divers, the number of passengers in the truck could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
However, the search for bodies is still ongoing.
The Search and Recovery operation, being conducted since the incident occurred on Friday, was done by a combined team of the Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Response Team and its Marine Rescue Unit, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Nigeria Police Force and local divers.
In a statement by the Head, Public Affairs of LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor, “The operation was suspended after midnight this morning, to resume with a change of mode from Search and Rescue, to Search and Recovery due to time lapse in the window period known as the ‘Golden Hour'”.
