The Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Works has urged the Nasarawa Electricity Power Agency ( NAePA) to distribute more transformers to rural communities in order to boost power supply in the state.
This, the committee said, if done, would boost the socio-economic activities, improve revenue base and standard of living of people of the state.

The committee members made the call in Lafia, when the agency appeared before it for an assessment of its 2020 budget performance.
Managing Director of the Nasarawa Electricity Power Agency ( NAePA) Engr. Abubakar Danjuma Ango,, said the agency needs N2.4billion to connect the entire state with the national grid.
The managing director identified the challenges facing the agency to include office accommodation, under-staffing, mobility, take off grant among others.
