She said, ‘Today’s exercise is to sensitise people about the need to ensure a clean environment, clean up litter from the market and rid it of trash and mismanaged wastes. We all have the responsibility to keep our environment clean and Lafarge Africa is not left out as we remain committed to promoting a sustainable environment through our unique and innovative solutions to the problems of waste.”

Also speaking at the event, President, Lagos Recyclers Association (LAGRA) Dr Femi Idowu, stated that the best way to celebrate the day was to go into markets and street corners to sensitise the people on how to clean up their environment, pick up dirt and debris that littered and polluted the environment for proper management.
