A lady identified as Benifica Haruna was kidnapped in the early hours of Tuesday in Fadan Ikulu of Ikulu chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The kidnappers stormed the area around 12:00am and shot into the air to scare the residents.
Confirming the incident to our reporter, mother of the kidnapped lady, Sarauniyan Ikulu said her daughter was in her room when they heard the gunshots.
“She called me to go and hide somewhere in the house not knowing that we are their target,” she added.

She said the kidnappers who came on vehicles and motorcycles operated for almost two hours without the intervention of security personnel.
She therefore called on the security agencies to investigate the issue and search for the whereabouts of her daughter.
The woman said she had not received any information on her daughter from the kidnappers.
The Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muhammed Jalige, had not picked the calls from our reporter at the time of filing this report.
