The governorship candidate of Labour Party in Kwara State, Issa Aremu has re-affirmed his commitment to ensured he emerged the next governor of the state in the forthcoming 2019 governorship election in the state.
Aremu said this in Ilorin while addressing the journalists over rumour of his stepping down his ambition.
“I remained a governorship candidate of Labour Party in the forthcoming governorship election in Kwara State. And we are to commence an issues based campaign immediately INEC give go ahead.
“I want to also confirmed that all elective position on the platform of Labour Party in Kwara State has been settled and names of candidates submitted to INEC already. Nobody can come to our party at this stage to seek for elective position ahead of 2019 general elections under Labour Party
“In fact I challenge other political parties to try and emulate good conduct of Labour Party in future selection of their party candidates because it is on record that Labour Party conducted theirselves mannerly with laid down rule and regulation of INEC during our primaries,” he said.
Aremu also called on all Labour Party members and supporters in the state to remained focus saying, “our plan to resuscitate the state from this pathetic conditions is not negotiable, and I urge my party members and supporters to only believe information coming from the party and most importantly from our Chairman in the state AbdulMumin Onagun”
