KWSG set to fish out ghost workers

The Kwara State government says the head-count of civil servants currently ongoing is to fish out ghost workers as well as to know the actual workers on its pay roll as the current wage bill is high.

The state deputy governor, Mr Kayode Alabi, stated this in Ilorin yesterday while receiving the executive and members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Ilorin and District Society led by its Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Ibrahim.

Alabi explained that the current wage bill of over N2billion would leave the state with nothing to carry out developmental projects.
