Kwesé TV unveils ‘Justice League’ series on Toonami channel

Pan-African satellite TV provider, Kwesé TV, has announced the addition of a new series, ‘Justice League Action’ to its programme line-up on the Toonami channel.

The series, according to a statement from Kwesé TV, is based on the DC Comics, the Justice League, which featured superheroes like Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman on their quest to save the world from villains with the assistance of fellow DC Comics superheroes.

According to the Screenwriter, Jim Krieg, superhero fans of all ages should look forward to a daily dose of fun and adventure on the Toonami channel on Kwesé TV, adding that the new series is exclusive to Kwesé TV.

He said the ‘Justice League’ action-packed series had very little violent scenes, as little children were considered while producing the series.

Krieg noted that while the new series is full of adventures, the stories have a colourful comedic energy with superhero characters that are quite adorable to provide a great gateway to introduce younger audiences to DC Comic characters which could become their role models.

“Every single episode is a new adventure, not only for the members of the Justice League but also the production team. There are moments where we think, “is this silly or is this going to work?” And then when it comes back and it works, it is such a delight,” Krieg said.

He said younger audiences would enjoy the series of action moments in the show, which is seen in the mild fighting between the superheroes and the villains, just as older children would be amused by its witty comedy.
