High riding Kwara United recorded their second away victory of the season after they dimmed Sunshine Stars 2-1 in Akure in week 9 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, season.
Erratic Heartland FC also picked their first away win when they quenched Mountain of Fire and Miracles, MFM, FC 2-1 in Lagos to leave the drop zone in style.

Meanwhile, Kwara United’s back to back wins have shot them to second place on the table but that will be short lived, if Rivers United beat Nasarawa United in today’s match.
Sunshine Stars who lost scandalously to Abia Warriors in week 8 took the lead against Kwara United when inform striker Sadeeq Yusuf scored his seventh goal of the season in the 50th minute but Adeshina Gata levelled scores for the visitors in the 55th minute before Steven Jude’s match winner four minutes to regulation time.
In the first match of the double header in Uyo, Dakkada FC piped Abia Warriors 2-1 with a goal each from Aniekan Ekpe in 48th minute and Kokoette Udo in the 54th minute. Musa Abdullahi scored Warriors’ consolation goal in the 90th minute.
Akwa United then continued from where Dakkada FC stopped as they thrashed katsina United 3-0 following a brace from Ndifereke Effiong and a goal from Charles Atshimene who scored his first goal of the season for the ‘promise keepers’.
