Vice President, National Association of Small and Medium Enterprise, Kwara chapter, Shakirudeen Olatunde has underscored the need to reactivate SMEs board in the state for optimal performance.
Olatunde who spoke Monday in Ilorin, said the sector has not done too badly said a high percentage of those in the sector lack the requisite prerequisite to upscale their businesses.

“The performance of Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) in Kwara state is not too bad, but the percentage of people in the sector lacks the requisite prerequisite to upscale their businesses to march up with other states.
“I believe such a bureau is very germain and central toward enhancing activities within the SMEs sub sector. The state government has a big role to play in that area.”
The Commissioner for Enterprise, Femi Abaje could not be reached for comments.
