- 3 suspects arrested
The Kwara State Police Command on Wednesday confirmed the murder of the chairman of a tricycle park, Mr. Musibau Aliu, by suspected ritualists.
The deceased went missing on Friday after he left home around 5 am with his tricycle for commercial purposes.
His mutilated corpse was found at an uncompleted building around Okołowo in Ilọrin West LGA with his head, wrists and buttocks missing.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi (DSP), the victim’s brother, Mr Olarenwaju Saliman, had reported the case at ‘G’ Division, Oloje.
“Upon arrival at the scene, a decomposing male corpse was found with its head, part of the buttocks, and both wrists severed.
“The deceased was identified as the Chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Idiose, Ilọrin,” she disclosed.
Toun added that three suspects, Abdullahi Ibrahim, Ismaila Ajirerin (38) and 40-year- old Adeola Adeosun, have been arrested over the incident.
According to her, the command sympathises with the family of the deceased and is committed to bring the culprits to justice.
