Kwara set to fight illegal migration – immigration

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has said that, “Kwara State occupies a strategic position in the fight against illegal migration in the country.”

 The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (CGIS), Caroline Adepoju, noted this during the commissioning of a Personnel Training Resource Centre (PTRC) in Ilọrin, Kwara State capital.

 She said the facility would help to fight against illegal migration in the country and complement the four existing training institutions of the service.

According to her, the development and implementation of the policy are fundamental to meeting the training needs of modern migration management in Nigeria.

 The Training Strategy Policy was necessitated by the Needs Assessment Report of 2014.
