The Kwara State Police Command said it has arrested two suspects and recovered a Toyota Camry car with registration Number APP 443 CX reportedly stolen from a parking lot in Lagos.
The suspects, Gabiyu Lawal (43), a resident of Babasoja, Gambari, Ilorin, and Ademola Waheed (45) of Sango Road, Ilorin, were arrested after the vehicle was intercepted.
According to the spokeswoman for the state police command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi (DSP), their arrest was triggered from intelligence received from a motor spare parts dealer in Ipata-Oloje, Ilorin.
“During a thorough search of the car, a GSM number linked to the owner, Mr. Ajibade Abel of Badagry Road, Lagos, was found.

“Upon contact, Mr. Abel confirmed the vehicle was stolen from a parking lot in Lagos and reported at Area C Police Command, Surulere,” she said.
Toun said the suspects admitted purchasing the vehicle for a “Suspiciously low price of N400,000 and intended to resell it in Ilorin for N1million.
She informed that “Further investigations are underway to identify other accomplices and unravel the full extent of their criminal activities.”
