The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has decorated 950 newly promoted senior officers.
The event follows the recent promotion approved by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
The breakdown of the decorated officers includes 7 deputy commandants, 20 assistant commandants, 26 chief superintendents, 126 superintendents, 202 deputy superintendents, 424 assistant superintendents I, and 145 assistant superintendents II.
In his address during the ceremony held at the command headquarters, Ilọrin, NSCDC state commandant, Umar Mohammed, expressed gratitude to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, and the Commandant General Abubakar Ahmed Audi for the promotion in recognition of hard work and commitment to service.

He charged them to redouble their efforts in the bid to actualise the mandate of the corps.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, DCC Agboola pledged that they would intensify efforts to discharge their responsibilities optimally.
The event was graced by heads of security agencies from the 22 armoured brigade, police, immigration service, road safety, NDLEA and federal fire service, among others.
