Kwara Gov begs labour for time on minimum wage implementation

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has sought more time from workers to enable him to implement the new minimum wage in the state.

The governor made the plea in Ilorin during the 2021 commemoration of Workers’ Day, stressing that workers were critical to national growth.

Abdulrazaq, who was represented by the Head of Service, Mrs Modupe Oluwole, at the programme held at the Metropolitan Square, also noted that all the developmental mileages the administration had reached across different sectors in the state were linked to the workforce.
