Kwara Gov appoints 16 female aides

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has appointed 16 women as Special Assistants on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Governor who picked the new appointees from each of the 16 local government areas of the state charged them with the duties of supporting and promoting the administration’s efforts to achieve its goals.

The Governor recently assented to an executive bill mandating the state to have at least 35% women appointees in the state executive council and other classes of political appointments.

Apart from also appointing nine female commissioners and 12 female permanent secretaries at the inception of his administration, AbdulRazaq also appointed women to man key institutions like the Kwara Revenue Service (KWIRS).

The appointees are Usman Bilikis, Monsurat Lawal, Khadijat Ibrahim, Jibola Yusuf, Abdulmumin Kane Habibat, Aishat Motunrayo Yusuf, Deborah Lawal, Kafayat Kazeem and Titilayo Ashaolu.

Others are Oluwakemi Opeyemi Afolashade, Sani Kudirat, Esther Funlola Adejumo, Amudat Muhammad, Fatima Mohammed, Kashi Mohammed and Dorcas Toyin Ogunwole.
