Nigeria’s representative at the ongoing Basketball League Africa (BAL) in Dakar, Kwara Falcons yesterday ended their campaign in the third season of the continental basketball tourney without a win.
The Kwara State basketball team lost their last match to Abidjan Basket Club (ABC) 76-79 to end their participation at the bottom of the log of the Sahara Conference with zero (0) points.
Kwara Falcons started their campaign at the 2023 BAL tournament with a 64-48 loss to Rwanda Energy Group (REG) before losing their second group match against the Stade Malien of Mali lost 74-78.
The free fall surfaced in their third group match after they were beaten 85-75 by the defending champions, Union Sportive Monastirienne of Tunisia and suffered another setback when they played Association Sportive des Douanes, ASD, which ended 68-75.

The Nigerian champions then finished their debut season on the continent with their match against Abidjan Basket Club (ABC) which ended 76-79.
According to the league organisers, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Abidjan Basket Club (ABC)have qualified for the BAL Playoffs, which will take place at BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda from May 21-27.
The two other teams that would be added to the four teams from the Sahara to advance to the BAL Playoffs, will be decided today.
