At the end of the match, the president of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Engr. Musa Kida presented the team a trophy and a dummy one million naira cheque.

The victory means Kwara Falcons will be representing Nigeria at the Basketball Africa League (BAL) billed to hold next year March in Kigali, Rwanda.

In his reaction to the victory, Kwara Falcons coach Baba Jubril said his boys prepared for this tournament while adding that they will do prepare well ahead of the BAL.

“We have been preparing for this for a long time and I have bunch of young guys hungry to play, if you can remember we just finish playing a tournament that we just won, that gives us the momentum to be ready for this. We are going to prepare because it is part of the plan,” he said.

He further thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Basketball Federation for organising the tournament.

“Well, it has been a long time and there has been a lot of crisis and everything, they can organise something like this, it means there is more to come from them, I appreciated them for doing this and I think they are going to do better, I trust the people there,” he said.
