Kwara assembly passes reduced N292.7bn 2024 budget

The Kwara State House of Assembly has passed the 2024 budget of N292.7 billion into law.

The budget was passed after considering the report of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation at the Committee of Supply chaired by Hon Arinola Fatimah Lawal during plenary.

This was against the N296.4bn presented by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, representing a 1.25 per cent decrease.

The total capital expenditure now stands at N180.2bn against the N178.905bn originally proposed by the executive.

Also, recurrent expenditure stands at N113.836bn against the N116.43bn presented by the governor.
