Kwara state House of Assembly has issued a six-day ultimatum to Gov AbdulFatah Ahmed to produce the Director-General of the state Bureau of Public private partnership (BPPP), Mr Yomi Ogunsola before the House over an allegation of unaudited funds spent by the Bureau.
The House gave the order during its plenary on Wednesday when the DG failed to respond to his summon on Tuesday.
The Deputy Speaker, Mathew Okedare who presided over Wednesday’s plenary while reading the resolution of the House urged Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed to produce Mr Yomi Ogunsola between today and Tuesday, 16 April
The summon of Ogunsola according to the Deputy Deputy Speaker was to answer the allegation of unaudited funds spent by the Bureau.
The House refused to entertain explanations from Mrs Oluwatosin Aremu, the Bureau computer analyst and Mr Falode Oluwaseyi who is the Bureau manager who appeared on the floor of the House for the Bureau.
All members at the plenary unanimously condemned the appearance of the two officers and demanded the presence of the DG, Yomi Ogunsola who was summoned by the House during Tuesday’s plenary.
Kamal Fagbemi (PDP, Okeogun) under Matter of Urgent Public Importance had informed the House of the refusal of the DG to appear before the House Committee on Finance and Appropriations on why the fund under the PPP were not audited
