The crisis rocking the Kwara State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has worsened over the purported removal of Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, as the state chairman by the party’s caretaker committee led by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni.
The action is alleged to be on the directive of the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
A group of 19 stalwarts of the party in the state led by Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, during a press conference at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, said unless the decision is reversed the state chapter of the party will not know peace.
But reacting, a loyalist of the governor, Kunle Suleiman dispelled the claim and backed the decision of the party’s national caretaker committee.
