Kwankwaso: NNPP won’t play second fiddle in 2027

The National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, says the party would not play second fiddle in the nation’s political space.

According to Kwankwaso, the state chapters of the NNPP would be strengthened before the next general elections.

A statement on Friday by Osun NNPP chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, quoted the former Kano State governor as speaking in Osogbo, during a visit to the NNPP state secretariat.

Quoting Kwankwaso, the release read partly, “Various reports from states, especially Osun, is giving me joy as the national leader. We are not unaware of the challenges ahead of us towards 2027, but we are prepared.

“Nigerians have so far realised that various leaders we have been having are intentionally spreading poverty among the citizens. They want to cajole them again in 2027 with crumbs.

“NNPP, as a party, has good intentions for the masses. We have started mobilising people all over. We are equipping our state offices and we are also providing them with vehicles to ease their movement. We are ready to strengthen state chapters.”
