The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev Mathew Hassan Kukah, has lauded the introduction of NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme.
Kukah who spoke while receiving the Sokoto State NYSC Coordinator, Musa Abubakar, said the nation at this point needed such innovative programme to engage the NYSC members who could graduate from the programme into bigger ventures that could serve them all through their lives and help create jobs for other youths, and stressed the need for government to give the programmed the desired encouragement.
Also speaking, the NYSC Coordinator commended the Bishop’s advocacy efforts on national unity and inter-faith dialogue as well as in preaching peace and religious tolerance to the youths.
