Tete, who was speaking in an interview with newsmen, said the council’s desire to construct a befitting health centre at the community was part of his campaign promises to ensure that people at the grassroots have access to health centre.
According to him, there was a proposal during the administration of his predecessor, when he was secretary of the council, to construct a health centre at each ward headquarters across the 10 wards of the council.
He said the council had met with the contractor handling the project, where it was agreed that they would apply for payment whenever work reached some appreciable level in order to ensure the project is completed at the right time.
He also said the council has concluded arrangements to award contract for the rehabilitation of the Pasali-Prison road in the area, adding that the council has completed the fencing of Kwaku market.
“And now that the dry season is approaching, we are going to unveil many activities and infrastructure that will have direct bearing on the lives of the good people of Kuje Area Council,’’ he said.
