These criminals, the paper reported, come into Abuja regularly to supply these unwholesome products to their agents in Abuja.
With this development, I think NAFDAC should be given a pat on the back for a job well-done. Also, I read the very incisive interview which the DG, Dr. Paul Orhii granted Sunday Trust, where he revealed how fake drugs enter into the country through the ports and our porous borders. The DG, in the interview, said proper policing of the ports was very necessary.
He said a proposal has already been sent to the presidency for the purchase of an equipment that can detect fake drugs at the ports.
I hope the presidency would expedite action and release money to purchase this equipment which will help to save millions of Nigerians from untimely death due to fake drug application. Once again, I doff my hat for NAFDAC officials for a job well done.
