Kudos to BUA chair

The commissioning of a new 3m MTPA production line at BUA Cement factory in Sokoto draws deserved commendation for BUA Group Chairman Abdus Samad Rabi’u. Another plant of the same capacity is in the works, to be completed in 2023.

His exertions on this score have saved this premier cement factory – formerly known as the Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) – from extinction and provided illumination to the North’s otherwise dark industrial landscape. How different that would be were the major beneficiaries of the current dispensation, the Northern political elite to pool their humongous haul and revive the textile industry and also invest in other areas where the region has comparative advantage.

Kudos to Abdus Samad Rabi’u. May his vision never wane and his determination never waver.
