Kpakor charges Super Eagles to complete Carthage Eagles’ misery

A former Nigerian international, Moses Kpakor, has charged the Super Eagles to go ahead and complete the miserable run of the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia by knocking them out of the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

The Tunisians who squeezed into the Round of 16 as best runners will go up against the highly motivated Super eagles of Nigeria tomorrow in the Round of 16 clash in Garoua.

While the Carthage Eagles struggled to survive in their group, the Super Eagles emerged as the only team in Cameroon that recorded hundred per cent victories in the group matches.

The three-time African champions opened their Group D campaign with 1-0 win over seven-time winners Egypt, trounced Sudan 3-1 and wrapped up the group stage with a comfortable 2-0 win over debutants Guinea Bissau.

In a telephone interview, the former BCC Lions and Abiola Babes midfielder maestro backed the Super Eagles to rub more salt into the wounds of the embattled North Africans.

“Going by what the Super Eagles have played so far, they are going to move from the Round of 16 into the quarter-finals by beating Tunisia.

“They should do everything to win against the opponents who have had a miserable run in the championship. I know the Tunisians will fight like wounded lions but the Super Eagles have the capacity to tame them on Sunday,” said Kpakor, a member of the Algiers 1990 Super Eagles squad.
