The Governing Council of Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State, has approved the dismissal of four lecturers following investigations into allegations of examination misconduct and sexual harassment.
This decision was made during the university’s second council meeting, chaired by Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba.
The council commended the university’s administration for adhering to due process in handling the allegations.
It emphasised a zero-tolerance policy toward unethical behaviour and urged the prompt resolution of other pending cases, including a notable one in the Faculty of Science that has drawn recent media attention.
In addition, the council encouraged all staff to maintain high ethical standards and advised students to report any instances of harassment.
