Represented by his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, the governor lamented that the strike by health workers in local governments early this year affected the immunization exercise.
He, however, assured that efforts have been stepped up to cover lost grounds in the forthcoming exercise.
He commended the WHO and other partners for their support to the state.
Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Idris Omede, had said that the WHO team was in the state to do a recap of the January to July 2014 immunization exercise.
While noting that the state has remained a flagship in the fight against polio and routine immunization,  Dr Omede assured that the ministry is working round the clock to reclaim lost grounds.
