Speaking, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court Justice Dantsoho Abutu, said the inauguration of the court in Lokoja will save litigants the stress of filing cases in Abuja. “All pending cases in Abuja will be transferred to the newly inaugurated High Court for hearing and determination depending on their level of trial,” he noted.
He said a judge has been deployed to the court and will resume early next month, adding that the remaining states, Taraba and Kebbi, will soon each have a federal high court.
Governor Ibrahim Idris said the inauguration of the court will ease access to justice at minimum cost.
