Members of Team Gamji for Tinubu/Shettima (TGTS) and supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have made case for the choice of Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Gamji as Kogi State nominee in the Renewed Hope cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

National Coordinator of TGTS, Alhaji Hassan Muhammed, who addressed journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, said as the Chairman of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Kogi State chapter and Coordinator, North Central region for then aspirant Tinubu, Gamji canvassed “vigorously” for delegates for Asiwaju Tinubu during the APC presidential primaries convention.

He said the effort paid off handsomely judging by the results and vote pattern especially from the North Central geopolitical zone.

He said: “As governance in our dear country enters a new level with the announcement of the first batch of the new cabinet of the renewed hope administration which expectedly parades an array of intelligent and capable personalities from across the country, one state which deserves to feature prominently given its contribution to the APC 2023 electoral effort is Kogi state and one personality who has done extraordinarly well in that regard is Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar Gamji.

“Suffice to say that Alhaji Gamji as a pioneer member of the planning and strategy committee of Asiwaju for President and the only one from Kogi Central in collaboration and company of prominent Nigerians were saddled with the responsibility to strategize for Asiwaju during the primaries and we are glad that the committee did very well.

“Little wonder why he was subsequently made the Director, Protocol and events, (North) of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC). He was also made the Coordinator for Kogi state under the Independent Campaign Council (ICC) and also chairman of the committee on Data, Research and monitoring of the ICC, committing his personal resources and time.

“Dr Gamji is presently the Chairman of Kogi State Elders Forum which consist of notable personalities who worked together with him to deliver Kogi State during the general election for President Asiwaju.

“It is no gain saying that Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar Gamji is a shining example of a team player who has the capacity to add value to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu having run a successful construction business for the past 32 years that spans the African continent and beyond with great work ethic, values and a flair for innovation and social transformation.

“Judging from the above, it is clear that Alh. Gamji is worthy and qualified with great capacity to be nominated to represent Kogi state in this historical cabinet of the great Nigerian rebirth.”

He added “Team Gamji for Tinubu/Shettima will also like to appreciate another worthy and eminent son of Kogi state, Right Honourable James Abiodun Faleke, who was the Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), having worked closely with Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Gamji during the TSG period can attest to the credibility, commitment, dedication and capacity of Alhaji Gamji.

“While it is on record that the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tinuibu promised and pledged to reward dedication, loyalty and commitment of members adequately. This group is that the true dedication, hardwork and commitment of Alhaji (Dr) Sanusi Abubakar Gamji should be rewarded accordingly.”
