Kogi Kidnapping: Cleric urges govt to deploy troops at black spots

A cleric, Reverend father Salami S. Stephen, of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Akoho, Kogi State, has called on the government to deploy soldiers at various black spots to checkmate incessant kidnapping activities along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.

Rev Salami made the call at the funeral service of the late husband of the vice chairman of Kogi Local Government, Ishaku Maigari Gata, and his brother, held at St. John Catholic Church, Tanahu, in the area.

City news had reported that the late vice chairman’s husband and his brother were shot dead by suspected assassins while returning from farm last Monday, at Tanahu community.
