Wada gave the approval in a statement issued from the office of his deputy, Mr Yomi Awoniyi, and signed by his Press Secretary, Mr Michael Abu, in Lokoja.
According to the statement, the monthly sanitation exercise is expected to begin on Saturday Oct. 25. (NAN)
He said that the decision became imperative in order to involve all residents of the state in the cleaning of their environment as well as controlling wastes.
The statement said that there would be restriction of movement of persons and vehicles between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. to ensure effectiveness of the exercise.
It added that security agents had been instructed to arrest those, who might contravene the sanitation order for prosecution in mobile courts at every sanitation day.
The statement urged residents to take the exercise as their civic responsibility by keeping the environment clean. (NAN)
