The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the break in the ongoing collation of results from 4pm to 7pm.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge of Kogi State, Gabriel Longpet, said the extension was because results of the remaining three Local Government Areas were not yet on ground.
Out of the three, only Igalamela – Odolu was available as the results for Lokoja local government and that of Ibaji were still being awaited.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) was leading with over 200k votes in results of 18 LGAs.
The Social Democratic Party and Peoples Democratic Party have called for cancellation of results, alleging irregularities.
