Speaking at a press conference at the APC Secretariat in Lokoja on Tuesday, the Yagba West APC Chairman said a letter trending on social media allegedly written by him never emanated from him.

In the said letter, Barrister Babatunde Ayokunle Irukera claimed to have been responsible for the payment of rent for the party secretariat at Odo-Ere; and payment of staff salaries of the APC in the council, among others.

“To the best of my knowledge as the APC party Chairman for Yagba West Local Government Area , I wish to state clearly that I have never received a penny from Barrister Irukera either directly or by proxy since my assumption of office.”

“For the purpose of emphasis, I want to draw the attention of the whole world to the letter and the purported signature that appeared on the said letter. It did not originate from me and should be completely disregarded, discountenanced and not be honoured by members of the public or authority whatsoever.”
