The Forum of Former Members of the Kogi State House of Assembly has declared its support for the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), Usman Ododo, for the November 11 governorship election in the state.
The chairman of the forum, Hassan Adakeke, disclosed this Thursday at a press conference in Lokoja.
He said they decided to support Ododo because “he is the most qualified in terms of experience and capacity, competence, capability, brilliance.”
“Kogi is too central to Nigeria to be left in the hands of candidates who are out to disunite the state and truncate the widely acknowledged achievements of the current administration.

“We are calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately activate relevant sections of the Electoral Law against candidates fanning ethnic division and stoking atomic politics in the state”, said Adakeke.
While he said the members have resolved to work hard throughout the state to deliver the APC candidate resoundingly on November 11, 2023, the legislative forum enjoined all members to go back to their constituency and work in that direction.
