The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, on Thursday, met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja and presented his presidential nomination and expression of interest forms to the president.
On Tuesday, Governor Bello paid N100m for the purchase of the forms to contest the 2023 presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the Director, Media and Publicity of the Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Council, Yemi Kolapo, Governor Bello is the first aspirant to officially buy the forms, adding that the governor “is not known for betrayal”.
