Kogi gets new CJ, customary court president

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has approved the appointment of Justice Henry A.Olusiyi as the acting Chief Judge of Kogi State.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onogwu Muhammed said Justice Bayo Olowosegun was also appointed to perform the functions of the President of the Customary Court of Appeal.

According to the statement, the two justices are to hold brief for a period of three months.

The appointments followed the demise of Justices Nasiru Ajana and Shaibu Atadoga respectively. 

The new appointees are said to be the most senior in the hierarchy of the state’s judiciary, hence, their appointments.
