KNSG donates freezers to fish sellers in Yaryasa village

Kano state government has donated 10 new freezers to fish sellers in Yaryasa village, Tudun Wada local government to boost their business.

A statement signed by Aminu Yassar, Director General of Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano, said that government had also constructed four additional stalls for the fish sellers.

Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje presentated the freezers and N10, 000 cash each to 50 selected fish sellers.

“The aim is to help you preserve the fish so that it can stay for several days without being rotten. This will ultimately enhance your business by preventing unnecessary loss.”

“Fish is an important source of food so it is important for it to be kept, sold and transported under the best hygienic condition.”

“We have therefore, decided to provide you with these deep freezers and constructed four additional stalls in the market to make your business more worthwhile,” the governor has said.
