The Ibadan kingmakers also known as Olubadan-in-council on Wednesday announced High Chief Lekan Balogun as Olubadan-designate.
The council made the announcement at a press conference held at Mapo Hall, in Ibadan, the state capital.
The press conference was attended by ten other high chiefs but a former governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, was absent at the press conference.

The High Chiefs in attendance said they had written a letter to Governor Seyi Makinde, intimating him of their decision to install Senator Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.
