A retired Army intelligence officer has called on the federal government to immediately prosecute the killers of Major General Idris Alkali (rtd), the missing Army officer whose remains was discovered in a well in Jos, Plateau State on Wednesday.
“I am calling on the authorities concerned to make sure that the perpetrators of the killing and disappearance of the late General must be prosecuted to serve as deterrent to others,” Brigadier General Ibrahim Alhaji Sabo told Daily Trust.
He said he is an indigene of Bauchi State but he was born and brought up in Plateau state when there was tolerance in the nation.
He added that it is worrisome how people especially community leaders who were cherished before now connive with others to kill people, saying it is unfortunate.
