Kidnappers of Tari Ajanami, the owner of Club 64, a popular nightclub in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, have abducted two people delivering ransom to secure his release.
The kidnappers released Ajanami, but seized his 38-year-old Wife, Christiana, and her 74-year-old father over ransom shortfall.

They had demanded N200 million but got N15 million.
The 43-year-old club owner, Tari Ajanami, was abducted last month at his building site along Otiotio area of the State capital and was on Thursday released in Ahaoda Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Daily Trust gathered that the ransom was secretly paid as demanded by the abductors.
However, it was gathered that the bargain turned awry when the kidnappers insisted on the completion of the N200 million.
A family source, who declined to be named, expressed concern over the new development, revealing that the abducted wife of the club owner is suffering from blood pressure and was not with her drugs at the point of the abduction.
He said: “We want to hear from the kidnappers. We learnt their Satellite Mobile Phone gadget popularly referred to as Turaya phone fell into the water during the ransom exchange.
“You know N15 million was taken at the ransom exchange point. The kidnappers collected the money and maybe held on to the wife and her father in order to demand more money from the victim.
“We plead with the kidnappers to tamper justice with mercy.”
When contacted, the police spokesman in Bayelsa State, SP Asinim Butswat, said the command is yet to get the latest report on the kidnap incident.
Before the businessman was abducted, the 80-year-old Madam Betinah Benson, mother to the Secretary to Bayelsa State government, was kidnapped in Yenagoa.
It has not been confirmed if the octogenarian politician’s mother has been released.
