Kidnappers of father of the incumbent chairman of Bwari Area council, John Shekwogaza, has demanded N100 million ransom before he will be set free.
Daily trust had reported that gunmen had, in the early hours of Tuesday, invaded the council chairman’s Tokulo village and abducted the father and two other women in the community.

A reliable source, who preferred anonymity, said the council chairman’s family had been able to establish contact with the kidnappers late Tuesday evening.
“It was on Tuesday evening that the victims’ family were able to establish contact with the kidnappers and they are demanding N100,000 ransom, even though negotiation is still ongoing,” the source said.
The spokespersons of the FCT police command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, was yet to pick calls or reply to text message sent to her phone to confirm the ransom demanded by the kidnappers.
