The Father of the kidnapped children, Abdulsalam Haruna, a road-side tailor confirmed the development to our correspondent.

He said, “They contacted me on Sunday and demanded that I pay N100 million per each person making a total of N500 million. I am just an ordinary road-side tailor. Where on earth do they want me to get that kind of money?

“We have been talking with them on how they can reduce the ransom as I do not have anything to offer. I pray God Almighty to see me through this trying time.”

He called on the Kaduna State Government and the Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan to come to his aid.
