Kidnappers of three construction workers along Ikaram-Akunnu road in Akoko Northwest and Northeast local government areas of Ondo State have demanded N20 million ransom.
The three victims were part of workers constructing and rehabilitating the Ikaram/Akunnu Akoko road.

A source said gunmen kidnapped them at about 6pm on Tuesday and the kidnappers had made contact with the families of the victims demanding N20m as ransom.
Already, a combined team of security operatives as well as local hunters, vigilante, were said to be combing the forest around the axis where the incident took place.
Ondo State Commissioner of Police Bolaji Salami said he has deployed more men to comb the forest to secure the release of the kidnapped construction workers.
Addressing reporters in Akure, the CP said the command is working in tandem with other security agencies to secure the release of the victims unhurt.
Salami also identified the boundary between Ondo and Kogi states as a major hideout of kidnappers.
