The Oyo State government Friday raised alarm that kidnappers are now wearing school uniforms to abduct school children in Ibadan, the state capital.
This was contained a circular issued from the office of the Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, dated October 27, 2021, a copy obtained by our correspondent in Ibadan Friday.
- Nigeria to provide technical support to Ghana on aircraft accident investigation
- THE BEARING: Should a woman propose to a man?
The circular was addressed to the state chairmen of TESCOM, SUBEB, Executive Secretary (BOTAVED), zonal and local inspectors of education, all principals and head teachers of public and private schools; all private school owners and parents in the state.
According to the circular, it is a new method adopted by kidnappers to get at children, urging parents to sensitise and warn their children and wards to be security conscious by rejecting free rides from strangers.
