Kidnappers kill victim after collecting ransom in Edo

An America-based Nigerian,  Prince Denis Abuda, who was  kidnapped  recently in Edo State has been killed by his abductors.

Prince Abuda who hails from Fugar in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State was said to have been  kidnapped recently on his way to Lagos to board a flight back to America.

Abuda who was the President of  America-Fugar Foundation had come home for the holidays and was travelling back through  Benin to Lagos last Saturday to board the flight  when he was kidnapped alongside three  others.

It was further learnt that family members got to know of the incident on Sunday, after waiting endlessly for his arrival in Lagos.

The  kidnappers were said to have demanded N10m  ransom, which was paid.

However, after the ransom was paid, only three of the kinapped persons were released around 7pm on Sunday, while Abuda was killed.

The released hostages told the family members that as they were being marched away, Aduda was killed by the kidnapers.

It was also learnt that his decomposing body was later  discovered.

Effort to get confirmation from the state police command was unsuccessful as its spokesman, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, did not answer calls to his cell phone.
