Kidnappers killed a popular cattle merchant and abducted his wife and two of his sons in Jalingo, Taraba State capital, on Wednesday.
The businessman, Alhaji Gidado Hassan, was a leading cattle merchant in Jalingo. He was attacked at his residence located at Mallam Audu village at 2am.

Daily Trust learnt that the gunmen numbering about 12 forced their way into the house of the deceased.
He was reportedly killed while the assailants were leading him and his family members to an unknown location.
The victim was buried at Jika Da Dari main burial ground at about 9.30 am on Thursday.
The spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident.
