Kidnappers demand N100m ransom from travellers’ families

Gunmen who abducted nine passengers of a Toyota sienna space bus travelling from Abuja to Lagos at the weekend have demanded for N100m ransoms from their families.

Daily Trust on Sunday reports that he passengers were abducted at Isua area in Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo State on their way to Lagos.

A family member of one of the victims, Bamidele Ojo, told our reporter the kidnappers have demanded N100m ransom.

Spokesman of the Ondo Police Command, Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed the incident, said one of the victims has been rescued.

Ikoro said the police in collaboration with local hunters, vigilantes and other security agencies were still combing the bushes to ensure safe rescue of the rest passengers.
