Mrs Margaret Emefiele , the wife of the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, was abducted by heavily armed kidnappers on Thursday, according to online newspaper, SaharaReporters.
It reported that a source close to Mr. Emefiele said that Mrs. Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road.
It was said that the kidnappers have made contact with their victim’s husband and demanded a huge sum in ransom.
Mrs. Emefiele’s kidnap represents one of the most high-profile kidnap cases in 2016.
